Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Foundrie POS ("Foundrie", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Foundrie POS mobile and tablet applications (the "App") and the related backend services (together, the "Service").

Foundrie POS is a business tool used by bar and hospitality operators to run their own point-of-sale, inventory, staff, and analytics. Most of the data processed by the Service belongs to and is controlled by the business operator ("Operator") that licenses the Service. For that data, Foundrie acts as a data processor on the Operator's behalf.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Operator Information

1.2 Operator-Provided Business Data

The Operator enters and the Service stores:

1.3 Device & Technical Data

1.4 Media You Upload

1.5 What We Do Not Collect

2. How We Use Information

3. Permissions Used by the App

The App requests the following device permissions only when a related feature is used:

You can revoke any of these permissions in your device settings. Features that depend on a revoked permission will be disabled until it is restored.

4. AI Receipt Scanning

When the Operator uses the AI receipt-scanning feature, the receipt image and extracted text may be sent to a third-party large-language-model provider that we contract with, solely to identify line items and match them to the Operator's inventory. We choose providers that contractually agree not to use submitted content to train their models. The image and extracted data are also stored in the Operator's account so the stock-in record remains auditable.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below:

6. Data Retention

We retain Operator business data for as long as the Operator's account is active. After an account is closed or the Operator requests deletion, we will delete or anonymize the data within a reasonable period (typically within 90 days), except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.

Diagnostic logs and crash reports are retained for a shorter period sufficient to investigate issues and are then deleted or aggregated.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (TLS) between the App and our backend, encrypted storage at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, PIN-protected user sessions on the device, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong account password and keep your devices updated.

8. International Transfers

Foundrie POS operates globally and our service providers may be located in countries other than the one in which the Operator is established. By using the Service, you understand that information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in those countries, subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Children

The Service is intended for use by businesses and their authorized staff. It is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Employees of an Operator should direct these requests to their employer (the Operator), which controls the data. You may also contact us at the address below and we will help route the request appropriately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify Operators in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
